Do I have to run or can I walk?

You can run or walk or both.

Do I have to run or walk the whole time?

No. You can stop whenever you need to. You can stop when you reach your goal. You can stop if you need to take a break and then start again (but the clock keeps running). You can stop to enjoy the scenery. We just need you to tell us when you are finished so that we can record your mileage and so we don't send someone out looking for you. You also have to stop at one of the three disignated aid stations.

Are there any minimum distances that I have to run?

The distance is up to you and your fitness level and goal.

Are strollers allowed on the course?

Unfortunately, due to Cofrin Arboretum regulations, strollers are not allowed on the trail.

Can a friend ride along with me on a bike?

Sorry, bikes are not allowed on the trail.

Can my dog run with me?

Dogs are great running partners but they are not allowed on the trail.

Why such an odd start time?

We do not have any control over when the sun comes up.

Can I have a pacer run with me?

To avoid crowding on the trail, pacers are only allowed in the 15.5 hour race and only after after 2:00PM after the other two races are finished. See 'PACER INFO' below for more info.

Where can I leave a drop bag?

There will be tarps laid out at the start/finish line for drop bags. You will pass them every 4.75 miles.

Will there be massage after the race?

Better than that! There will be massage throughout the day at the start/finish line. Christine Wolf from Restore U Solutions will be there all day to work out your knows and get you back on the trail.

What happens if it rains?

You get wet.

Will my drop bag get wet if it rains?

Probably. Assume it will and pack accordingly.

Are there any water crossings?

That depends on how much rain we have had. There is a large creek that can overflow in a couple spots if there has been a lot of rain. Both sections are paved or concrete so the footing is still solid. There is another small creek that crosses the trail but you have to try real hard to step in it.

When and where can I pick up my registration?

You can pick up your registration Friday, 4:00-7:00 PM and Saturday, 3:30-5:00 AM at the start finish area by the Shorewood Golf Course Club House.

Can I have someone else pick up my registration for me?

Yes.

Are there places to watch and cheer on the runners?

Yes, you are welcome to cheer them on anywhere on the course. We just ask that you keep the start/finish area clear and don't block access to the drop bag tarps.

Is there food for spectators?

The food that is at the aid stations is for the hungry runners. I wouldn't try taking anything from them! It will be much safe to eat at the Shorewood Golf Course Clubhouse which is conveniently located right at the start/finish area.

Is there a meal for the runners after their race?

Yes, we have arranged for lunch and dinner in the Clubhouse after the race for participants. Additional meal tickets can be purchased for family and friends at packet pickup or on race day under the timing tent.

Where can we park?

There in plenty of parking near the start/finish. We have to keep the closest parking lot clear for the golfers, so please use the next one over. It is marked on the course map.
